Cancer 2015 Yearly Horoscope
An exclusive excerpt from The AstroTwins’ 2015 Planetary Planner:
Bring on the abundance! Your finances and career are on the ascent in 2015, a year that could be one of your most profitable in over a decade. At the very least, it’s time to swing far out of your crab shell’s confines and take a bold risk.
The seeds for this expansion were planted back in late June 2013, when bountiful Jupiter entered Cancer for a year, sparking a major personal evolution. Jupiter visits your sign once every 12 years, and when it does, your whole life trajectory can take an exciting turn. While most people would find this news thrilling, Cancers get a little green around the gills at the notion of life being subject to change without notice. Your sentimental sign likes security and cozy routines—in short, you like to expect the expected!
But along came Jupiter to stretch you beyond this familiar zone—and thank goodness, Cancer, because you had probably outgrown it. On July 16, 2014, Jupiter left Cancer for a 13-month visit to Leo, your second house of work, money and security. And here Jupiter will be as the new year begins, skyrocketing your aspirations and earning potential until August 11, 2015. (Read more about Jupiter in Leo here:
Yes, Cancer, as much as you love your home and family, this is your moment to shine. Jupiter was last in Leo from approximately September 2002 until September 2003, so dial back to that time for possible recurring themes. And remember: being a good mother, father, son, daughter, friend, sibling, cousin, whatever does NOT mean that you sacrifice your aspirations for anyone else’s. As you rise, your success touches the people you love.
The second house is a grounded place, the realm of tangible results, and with Jupiter here, you’re squarely focused on building lasting security for yourself and your clan. So if you felt lost at sea while Jupiter was in Cancer, wondering what the heck to make of your gazillion ideas, don’t worry. You threw some strands of spaghetti at the wall and by now, you should know which of them stuck. With Jupiter in Leo until August, you could have some career- and life-defining moments that put you in a whole new class of respect, allowing you to command a much higher asking price. And if you’re not there yet, get cracking: Jupiter rules higher education, so this might be the year you master the skills that help you pay the bills. If you have a “dream deferred,” dust it off. There could be golden hiding in ‘dem hills!
On the subject of love, 2015 looks promising as well. On December 23, 2014, restrictive Saturn wrapped a two-year run through Scorpio, your fifth house of romance. If the last couple years haven’t been your most passionate, this is why. Maturity planet Saturn is a builder, focused on long-term results rather than fly-by-night flings. Love may have felt a bit like hard work from October 2012-December 2014, while taskmaster Saturn was here.
If you’re an artist or work in a creative field, Saturn in your expressive fifth house may have sent you back to the drawing board, the studio, or your creation station to hone your game. Now, you’re ready to make your debut!
So what’s Saturn up to now? Well, from December 2014 until December 2017, the planet of structure and long-term goals is in Sagittarius, your sixth house of health and organization. It’s time to streamline your systems, dive into clean eating, take your workouts and well-being seriously. The sixth house rules service and helpful people. If your softhearted self has hired some half-steppers—be that an assistant, a babysitter, a slacking housekeeper—prepare to nix them from the payroll. We know, we know…but Team Cancer is demanding an upgrade, and that means people with a more advanced skillset or reliable work ethic. Otherwise, you’ll be the one left scrambling to make up for their deficiencies, and you don’t have time for that! On August 11, Jupiter will move into Virgo, your third house of communication and community, until September 9, 2016. You could explore new neighborhoods, live between two different cities or take a more active role getting involved in your area: shopping locally, running for city council, organizing block parties, opening a shop. A writing, teaching or publishing project could take flight, since both Jupiter and the articulate third house govern these areas. Is it time to share your story, launch a blog or record a podcast? Expansive Jupiter in your social third house will also open you up to new friendships, ones that are especially synergistic.
The year’s four eclipses are especially potent because they fall at new and full moons—and la luna is, after all, your sign’s cosmic ruler. You are often more affected by the moon’s fluctuations than any other sign. Eclipses are particularly stirring because they create sweeping and unpredictable change, pushing us out of procrastination and into action.
The first series is the continuation of an eclipse group that started in 2013 on the Aries/Libra axis. You may feel these two eclipses more strongly than the other two, as they touch on the “angular” houses of your solar chart—namely your tenth house of career and your fourth house of home. The Libra total lunar (full moon) eclipse on April 4 could shake things up on the domestic front, precipitating a move, a pregnancy or a change in your lifestyle. A female relative or an important woman may figure prominently into events. The September 27 Aries lunar eclipse, also a potent supermoon, blasts into your tenth house of career and public recognition. This could be a defining professional moment, Cancer, so prepare to receive your accolades. You might also make a dramatic change, leaving one professional path or company for another.
A new eclipse series starts this year, too—a much milder one on the Virgo/Pisces axis. These two eclipses will both accompany new moons. The first, a Pisces solar eclipse, arrives at the March 20 supermoon, touching your ninth house of travel, study and entrepreneurship. Get ready to pack your bags, or perhaps to hear some exciting news from afar! On September 13, a Virgo partial solar eclipse in your communication house could bring a game-changing message, call, text or email. Keep your devices handy!
On top of all the eclipse action, 2015 is bookended with TWO Cancer full moons, one on January 4 and the second on December 25. You’ll ring in the New Year AND usher it out in full crustacean style. Ready, set, manifest!
