Scorpio Full Moon: Sandra Bullock Is a Mom?!

The Scorpio full moon is notorious for bringing secrets out into the open. Although Scorpio is the sign of mystery, the lunar illumination is too powerful to create shadows in which we can hide. This loss of control—over image and public information—can be rattling at first, but it also brings freedom.

With today’s Scorpio full moon, the liberation begins. This morning, People magazine released a shocker: Oscar winner Sandra Bullock hasn’t been crying in her coffee about her husband’s infidelity. She’s been busy raising Louis, the newborn baby boy she adopted in January.

Sandra is a Leo, and Scorpio rules her fourth house of motherhood and family. Could she have picked a better day to emerge from hiding with a People exclusive? In this week’s cover story, she introduces the world to Louis, and tells the press that she’s filed for divorce from Aries Jesse Jame. Of her marriage’s end, the actress bravely admits, “I’m sad and I am scared.”  Although Bullock and James originally began the adoption process together, she will finalize it as a single parent.

Our cosmic prediction: The Scorpio full moon will cast the Blindsided star as the next “power-mom.” (Move over, Madonna and Angelina!) It will also strategically refocus media attention on Bullock’s new life with Louis, and less on her ex’s humiliating offenses. Sandra, you are truly in tune with the stars—and you’ve used them to your advantage!

As for James? Like many Aries, he’s got some major soul work to do. With Jupiter in his twelfth house of addiction and recovery, and strict Saturn cracking the whip in his marriage sector until 2012, it will be impossible to run away from his issues any longer. Much like one of his famous “Choppers,” he must take himself apart and rebuild, piece by piece. Although Leos are famously forgiving, the wounded pride of his lady Lioness won’t be easily soothed.

Meantime, we hear Sandra’s leaning on her Speed co-star and onscreen love, Virgo Keanu Reeves. Hmmm. Reeves has lucky Jupiter in his relationship house this year. Could life keep imitating art for Miss Sandy? We’re just saying. Here’s to much-deserved happiness for the actress, and the end of a painful life chapter.

Hot & Cold Romance: This Week’s Lovescope

To commit or not to commit? That is the question. As loveplanet Venus enters active, inquisitive Gemini, we’ll need to work a little harder to keep the sparks alive. No more resting on the laurels of a commitment. Familiarity will begin to breed contempt if we don’t step it up. Variety, on the other hand, is the spice to our libidos. That doesn’t mean hiring a fleet of Chippendale dancers or having a broom closet rendezvous with the office hottie. No, creativity should be applied to our date planning. Get up and get out of the house. Use some imagination; push the envelope. With a full moon in erotic goddess Scorpio on Wednesday, it’s fantasy fulfillment time for those who put in the effort.

Single peeps, staying active and culturally-engaged is your express ticket to love. Head to those concerts, book signings, lecture series, and after work mixers, karaoke bars, and so on. Playful energy is what Venus in Gemini longs for to get turned on. Internet dating is also prosperous under this cosmic influence, provided you are selective. Things to avoid: an overly serious profile, pictures that lack a flirty, sexy spark, winkers who are too cheap and lazy to send a thoughtful message.

Saturn Back in Virgo: One Last Hurrah

Last Wednesday, taskmaster Saturn retrograded back from Libra into Virgo again, giving us a chance to finalize the issues we struggled through from September 2007-October 2009.  That were not growing pains many of us remember fondly–they involved tightened budgets, irritating perfectionism, and a need to focus in on the most microscopic of details. Still, it looks like we’ll need to give these lessons the “white glove test” to make sure they are fully integrated and up to snuff.

The bumpiest phase is while Saturn is retrograde until May 31. That’s when we dig in deep and really look at our inner selves. Then, Saturn turns direct in Virgo until September 21. This is when the good stuff starts pouring in. Saturn may be cruel-to-be-kind in a “celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak” way, but it ain’t no Sid Vicious. If you’ve done the work, you deserve a healthy reward. Here’s where your sign may see the bounty (and a teensy bit more struggle) coming in for your sign:

- Aries: healthy habits, breaking old patterns, working more efficiently, maximizing time management

- Taurus: maturing in romantic relationships, putting yourself in the public eye, spending on luxury responsibly

- Gemini: nesting, settling down in a home, issues with the mother, working with women and families

- Cancer: Learning how to communicate more openly, choosing better friends, commuting for work

- Leo: Money and time management, budgeting, nutrition, getting into a healthy fitness routine

- Virgo: Solidfying your inner confidence, regaining a sense of purpose, working independently

- Libra: Releasing what’s no longer serving you, mourning losses so you can truly move on

- Scorpio: Teamwork, group collaborations, using the Internet to achieve your aims

- Sagittarius: Systematizing workflow, picking the right career and business partners, issues with the father

- Capricorn: Entrepreneurial ventures, traveling, learning to tell the unfiltered truth

- Aquarius: Deepening your intimacy with people, marriage, not confusing sex with love

- Pisces: Commitments, marriage, learning how to balance relationships so as not to lose yourself

Weekly Lovescope: To Thine Own Self Be True

This week’s new moon in Aries lights the path to self love. It goes without saying that we can’t expect other people to treat us better than we treat ourselves. And still, so many of us look for a relationship to bring us out of the doldrums or give our lives a sense of purpose.

In sweeps the new moon in Aries to ix-nay such pipe dreams and give us a swift kick in the Hanky Pankies. Being Siamese Twins with your love interest or losing yourself in his/her agenda is (yawn, stretch) booooring. This week, the path to romance and healthy relationships lies in unearthing our own dreams. If you’ve forgotten how to do so, then, heed the words of NYC Housewife Bethenny Frankel, “you need to get a hobby.”

After all, nothing makes us more attractive than a burning sense of purpose and passion. Remember those early days of dating (perhaps you’re still enjoying them)… If you were posting an Internet dating profile, you’d want a smokin’ hot photo AND an enviable list of interests alongside it. You probably wouldn’t get too fired up about another person either if he didn’t have an interest or career that fascinated you. So work on your proverbial profile this week, even if you’ve been happily hitched for years. It never hurts to freshen things up. Bring forth your personal best, both on the outside and inside. Just a word of warning, you could get so totally turned on by yourself that your slumbering wild child could come out to play in the process.
