aries

You’re the sign of the Virgin, so your special day should have an air of freshness. From crisp white linens to a simple, modest gown, the vibe should be simple and pure. Although you may act tough or super-practical, you're a mushball at heart. With your inborn pickiness, you’ve probably held out for the perfect mate, so let yourself be a princess for once. Spend all day, or even all week, getting manicured, made up and having your hair styled. Treat yourself to all the things you normally deem too expensive or impractical.

Natural Virgos love a peaceful, outdoor ambience, far from the city bustle. Try an indoor/outdoor wedding at a country club, in a garden or an old estate. Many Virgos are nature girls, so you might even rent out a campground and get married barefoot around a fire, or in a grove of pine trees. Either way, arrange for lots of fresh flowers, elegant fare and an original band that plays something for every generation. You’ll want all your closest friends and family there. In fact, having them gathered by your side is what will make the day so memorable. You’re always concerned for everyone’s welfare, but this is your day to let that go. Leave plenty of time to chat with everyone who attends—or meet them on the dance floor!

Wear a dress that’s a blend of modesty and originality. You want to stand out and look angelic. Gaudiness is a no–no. Try a simple, elegant, no–frills gown in white silk or satin. A hint of lace works, but keep it in proportion—around the neck or trimming the sleeves will do. You glow in pearls and small diamonds. Keep your makeup light and natural, and avoid fussy hairstyles. Many Virgos grow long, beautiful locks. Try a loose chignon with a couple stray tendrils—or wear your hair flowing.

You may get paralyzed by the process of choosing a dress (or choosing anything), but don’t drive yourself crazy fussing over details. Let your inborn practicality win here. Make a checklist, and tick things off your to-do list. You love the satisfaction of completing tasks, so take this approach. You could hire a wedding planner, but chances are, that’s a you’ll savor playing yourself. Still, don’t be the martyr that you often are. Delegate some duties to friends and family members. Don’t worry that you’re burdening them. Remember, they’ll be honored to be involved and feel that they had a hand in creating this special day.
