GENERAL
April is all about expansion, Leo. With the Sun in your ninth house of travel, opportunity and higher education, you’re ready to burst open like a flower. This month, follow your curiosities, discover new interests and explore. If you can, take advantage of low airfares and combine the Easter holiday break with a vacation. Publishing is also favored, so if you’re a writer, get your work out through a blog, a literary agent or a self-publishing service like Lulu.com.

After April 19th, the Sun enters Taurus, your tenth house of career and structure. Playtime is over and you’ll need to buckle down. Ready to make a career change? Something that inspired you in early April could provide a clue for your next moves. You may be in line for a promotion, a raise or a leadership position. Position yourself wisely.

LOVE & RELATIONSHIPS
Love has played a prominent role for Leos all year. Since January, lucky Jupiter has been in your seventh house of committed relationships, bringing new opportunities for romantic growth. This cycle lasts for 13 months, so single Leos who haven’t met “The One” should take bolder risks. Work with a professional matchmaker, try online dating or ask friends set you up. Step out of your comfort zone to attract the best luck!

Venus, the planet of love, has been retrograde (backward) since March 6th, perhaps reconnecting you with an ex or making you wax nostalgic for one. Luckily, Venus won’t affect your sign much except for one brief period. From April 12th-24th, Venus will dip back into your intense eighth house of sex, mystery and intimacy. How much do you trust your partner? You’ll find out now. A past indiscretion could come to light, or old feelings of jealousy and possessiveness may rise to the surface. You’ll see how comfortable you are with togetherness—and where you still have ground to cover. You may decide to pull back and take a little space during this twelve-day period.

Energetic Mars is also in your eighth house until April 22nd. If you’re parting ways with someone, you may need to have a painful conversation about splitting up shared assets. Don’t let things get ugly! There’s no dodging the issues when confrontational Mars visits. On the other hand, you may also want to take a relationship to the next level, perhaps even to move in together. Your sex life revs up, so enjoy a Spring fling!

CAREER & MONEY
Money continues to be tight until mid-May, due to conservative Saturn’s retrograde in your finance sector. This cycle, which began on New Year’s Eve, is here to help you curb your overspending. Continue maturing in the way you handle money, and learning better ways to budget. President Obama, a Leo, has gotten a few harsh financial lessons from Saturn. Take a page from him and cut back on those retail therapy “bailouts.” You don’t have to buy every shiny object in sight, Leo.

Exciting news could arrive around the April 9th full moon. If you need to give a speech, pitch or presentation, your powers of persuasion will be spellbinding. Ready to make a career switch? The Taurus new moon on April 25th kicks off a brand new chapter of your professional life. This cycle will build over the next six months, so set your sights on where you’d like to be professionally by October. Craft a step-by-step plan, outlining major goals and milestones. Don’t try to get there overnight; slow and steady wins the race.

HEALTH & FITNESS
Have you been avoiding self-care or exercise? You’ll begin to feel the repercussions. On April 4th, transformational Pluto goes retrograde in your health sector until September 11th. There’s no more procrastinating when it comes to kicking poor habits, changing your diet, or making well-being a priority.

Pluto rules the unconscious, so any health issues could be the manifestation of emotional toxins you’re carrying around. Resentment, anger, even a feeling of victimhood—it’s time to heal these old feelings for good. Explore the mind-body connection during this cycle, and tackle your well-being from the inside out. Louise Hay’s You Can Heal Your Life links everything, from the common cold to cancer, to an emotional issue. A holistic health counselor could also provide great tools, especially around nutrition.

Don’t shy away from Eastern methods like acupuncture or Reiki. Since Pluto is associated with Scorpio, which rules hematology, check out Peter J. Adamo’s Live Right 4 Your Type, a guide for eating, exercising and de-stressing according to your blood type.
