Horoscope:
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
March 2009
Sitting still will not be easy for the first three weeks of March. It seems you've been bitten by the adventure bug, and you just want to get out of town. If you're dreaming of wide-open space, we don't blame you. The Pisces Sun has activated your ninth house of travel, study and expansion, giving you a dose of serious wanderlust.
If you can, pack your bags and get away before March 20th—even just for the weekend. Nothing cures cabin fever better than getting away from the grind. You should also put inspiration back into your weekdays, too. New books, a teleseminar, classes and lectures are great ways to feed your mind and spirit. Metaphysical studies can also boost your faith and help you see things from a different vantage point.
The most important thing is to keep yourself in a positive, optimistic mindset. Cancer, you can easily slip into worry and negativity, but this isn't the time for that. There's so much to look forward to, if you'll only be willing to believe that your glass is half-full. A little gratitude will go far now.
Speaking your mind is also important. The ninth house is ruled by truth-teller Sagittarius. Sure, honesty isn't always comfortable to deal with—but after the initial sting, it feels a lot better than lying or being fake. In the end, who does that really serve anyway?
One day when you won't be able to hold back is March 11, at the Virgo full moon. This full moon is in your communication sector, which will bring blunt words rushing out all around you. If you or somebody else hasn't been completely above-board, everything will be out in the open soon. You might also receive a letter or message with exciting news on this day—even an offer!
This moon will form a harmonious angle to Pluto, the ruler of transformation. Pluto is in your relationship sector, so we see that there could be some honest talks with a romantic or professional partner. It's time to clear the air and make way for a greater level of commitment. That starts with mutuality and a clean slate.
Cancer, sometimes we're committed with our minds but not our hearts. That's because an intuitive sign like yours always knows when something is off. If you feel uneasy with an important person in your life, there's probably a good reason. Perhaps the unspoken terms or dynamics of your relationship don't quite feel fair. You can't expect people to read your mind, but you can certainly stand up for a more balanced partnership. Share your vision!
There's more relationship groundwork to be done this month. On March 6, love planet Venus goes retrograde (backward) for six weeks. Retrogrades can make for choppy waters and setbacks—at least initially. They turn our attention to the past and force us to deal with any unfinished business.
Venus is retrograde in your tenth house, which rules career, men and fathers. Cancer, if you've got "daddy issues" (and who doesn't?), they could come rearing up now. You may find that your relationship with your dad, boyfriend, husband or an important man goes through a little breakdown. Again, clearing the air with honesty is the way to go.
If you can't do that, take a little breather to regain perspective. Hard as it may be, try to focus on your father's best qualities—and remember, he's human! Mark Twain once said, "When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years." Everyone has something valuable to contribute, so don't forget that.
Bosses and authority figures are also under the tenth house's rule, so you'll need to be extra careful at the office. You could clash with higher-ups, or if you're the head honcho, you might find that there's a little mutiny among the troops. Treat your team to a morale-boosting day of pizza, bowling or Happy Hour drinks on the company. Cheesy and silly as it may be, a little bonding will go a long way.
Matters improve a bit after the 20th, when the Sun enters Aries. You'll have an easier time concentrating on work and setting goals. If you're ready for a new career chapter, there's no better day than March 26. On that day, a new moon falls in your tenth house, helping you set your course for success.
Cancer, it's a good idea to write down your goals that day. The new moon is joined by the Sun, Mercury and Venus, giving you an extra boost. Think about where you'd like to be professionally in six months and start working toward that. Between now and then, you might want to apply for awards, work on your image and even do a few sessions with a coach. Whatever it takes to get you from Point A to Point Z, don't shy away. Open yourself to trying new methods. They'll definitely pay off in the long run!
