2015 Virgo Horoscope

Virgo 2015 Yearly Horoscope

An exclusive excerpt from The AstroTwins’ 2015 Planetary Planner:

Curl up and get cozy, Virgo. The first eight months of the year are all about rest, rejuvenation and closure. We get it: not exactly what your practical, accomplishment-driven earth sign wants to hear. You love nothing more than a good plan with tangible results. Well, Virgo, it’s time to take a little break from that left-brained approach and embrace a flowing creative process.

So why the sudden shift? Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion, is in Leo, your twelfth house of closure, healing and surrender, from July 16, 2014 until August 11, 2015. While your sign craves control, you’ll get your best results by NOT forcing things this year. In fact, the more you TRY to push an agenda, the more you’ll find yourself spinning your wheels and swimming upstream. So put your inner control freak on ice.

Jupiter visits this part of your chart every 12 years (it was last here from September 2002-September 2003). It’s a chance to tie up loose ends from the last decade, to do forgiveness and healing work, to let go of any pain and baggage you may be carrying along. It’s also a richly intuitive and creative time, as the twelfth house governs the imagination and the subconscious. You might think of yourself as being on a long artist’s or spiritual retreat—a sabbatical of sorts. (At this writing, Virgo Beyonce and her Sagittarius husband Jay-Z are rumored to be taking a “gap year” in France, where they’ll pause from their whirlwind touring to give Blue Ivy a baby sibling. If that’s true? Astrologically well-played, Bey.)

This is an excellent time for writing, photography, dance, music, spiritual growth and exploring your inner landscape. One of our Virgo clients was offered her first book deal when Jupiter entered Leo—she’ll be spending this Jupiter transit holed up finishing the novel. Since you’ll be deeply in tune with your emotions, it’s a great time to produce one of your best works!

The grand prize for stepping out of character arrives on August 11, when Jupiter moves into Virgo for 13 months. It’s the start of a brand-new 12-year life cycle for you! Jupiter will be in Virgo until September 9, 2016, a wonderful time to reinvent yourself. You’ll have a clean slate, so do the closure work early in the year. You won’t want anything holding you back!

Change is in the air this year for your closest relationships AND your individual quests. This spring, a series of paradigm-shifting eclipses begins on the Virgo/Pisces axis. This year’s duo falls on March 20 (a solar eclipse/supermoon in Pisces, your relationship house) and September 13 (a partial solar eclipse in Virgo). Hello, new life chapter! In the next couple years, your “interpersonal affairs” department will get a cosmic makeover, as you open yourself up to new ways of relating, cooperating and teaming up, for both business and romantic duos.

The other two eclipses in 2015 fall on the Aries/Libra axis, shifting your approach to money, work, and shared resources. April 4 brings a Libra total lunar (full moon) eclipse, which could bring a financial opportunity out of the blue. On September 27, the Aries total lunar eclipse sweeps through your eighth house of intimacy, joint ventures and property. You may buy or sell real estate, deal with a legal matter or receive a lump sum. These eclipses might also portend unplanned costs, too, so be sure to save up for just in case.

Family matters could also make headlines, as structured Saturn is now in Sagittarius, your domestic fourth house, from December 23, 2014 until December 19, 2017. For the next nearly three years, you may get more serious about matters on the homefront. If you have an aging parent, you might become more responsible for caretaking. Perhaps you’re considering the pros and cons of becoming a parent yourself. You might consider buying real estate or opening a cottage industry now. All of these topics deserve a slow and steady approach—you never want to rush anything under cautious Saturn’s influence. Overall, our message to you, Virgo, is to hang tight. There may be some dark or emotional moments with Jupiter in your twelfth house, since it can dredge up unfinished business or your unhealed past. You may feel raw—but at the same time, alive. (Instead of running away, dive in and explore what’s bubbling up. Come August 11, when Jupiter moves into Virgo, those clouds will part and you’ll be ready for a phenomenal fresh start.
