“I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best,” quipped Libra Oscar Wilde. With the Sun heading into the wry poet’s sign for month this Monday, September 22, we could all use a little bit of that indulgent spirit. Yep, it’s officially Libra time until October 23 so let your inner aesthete take the wheel. This four-week phase is all about love, beauty, style and harmony. Libra also governs the law, and this partnership-oriented solar phase will see us sealing deals and making our relationships a lot more official.
On Wednesday, the annual new moon in Libra underscores the Sun’s twosome-focused energy, setting the stage for creative projects, fresh social pursuits and dynamic duos. If we haven’t found our “other half,” this new moon will flip on the searchlight; or, it could renew the spark of attraction between long-term lovers. Libra energy enjoys blending unusual hybrids. (This may also explain why so many Libra people are attracted to folks from different cultures and backgrounds than their own.) Instead of seeking someone just like you, find an attractive opposite who can pick up where you leave off. New moons are times for sowing seeds that we harvest six months later. Circle April 4, 2015 for your manifestation moment. That’s the day of the corresponding full moon in Libra, which also happens to be a total lunar eclipse. Talk about a bumper crop! The springtime harvest could bring the truest love, co-created genius, and soul friends in spades.
Are you sick of the subterfuge and stalled attempts at making big changes? Take heart: On Tuesday, simmering Pluto wakes up from a five-month retrograde that began on April 17. With Pluto back in “drive” for the coming seven months, we’ll feel more motivated to tackle those tough sticking points, addictive tendencies and compulsive behaviors. Although a sexy cat and mouse game can be fun, people who are overly mysterious will lose their allure. Since Pluto is in Capricorn — the sign that rules government, banks and big businesses — we could see some of the scarier regimes rising up on the world stage start to fall apart at the seams. (Here’s hoping.)
On Saturday, Mercury switches signs, making a brief pit stop in soulful Scorpio until October 10. Mercury’s placement here turns us all into info-junkies and detectives. Scorpio’s seductive powers could influence the way we all dress, so bring on the peekaboo cutouts and flashes of lingerie and skin. Take note: from October 4 to 25, Mercury will be retrograde, first in Scorpio, then Libra after the 10th. Sultry, intense and enlightening relationships that begin now could be short-circuited by Mercury’s backspin. But, don’t lose hope. Mercury will be back in Scorpio — and in forward motion — from November 8 to 27, giving us a second chance to restart what begins this weekend.
