Mars is in Libra from November 12, 2015 until January 3, 2016, a tricky blend of energies to navigate over the holidays.
Make love…or war? Aggressive Mars has entered peaceful Libra until January 3, 2016, a cantankerous transit that only occurs every couple years. Mars is in its “detriment” in Libra, meaning it’s in a weakened position, since it’s the natural ruler of fiery, combative Aries (Libra’s opposite sign). For the rest of the year, we’ll feel the tension of this transit.
The key to surviving this cycle—and its dicey overlap with the holidays—is to choose your battles wisely. You need to keep your hotheaded reactions in check, but not SO much that you become a doormat, stuffing down your anger and lashing out. Passive-aggressive moments could litter the trail if we’re not careful.
Certain conflicts DO need to come out into the open. You don’t want to spend another Christmas seething over how your sister hijacked the holidays and made it all about her obnoxious kids, or forcing yourself to spend New Year’s Eve at your best friend’s freezing cabin when you’d rather be on the beach. Speak up…but use diplomacy! If someone pushes your buttons, use it as your catalyst to increase the (Libran) peace. Knowing when to hold ’em and when to scold ’em is the key…and we may have to issue a few apologies along the way.
