The internal, quiet-minded energy that started last month continues for the first three weeks of February. Life feels like a mystical inner journey, and there’s fascinating stuff to discover! One Cancer friend of ours, a somewhat skeptical doctor, just signed up for a workshop called “Discovering Your Third Eye.” He felt the call many Cancers are, to get more in tune with himself and his dormant spirituality.
Your capacity to be intimate—with yourself and another person—is also growing dramatically this year. This is a trend that started last month, when Jupiter entered Aquarius, your eighth house of sex, intimacy, and shared property. The eighth house is a mystical space, where you can explore true one-ness, merging with not only other people but with the divine. (If there was ever a year to get engaged or try that Tantric sex workshop…)
The eighth house also rules wealth, particularly property or money from outside sources, like investments and loans. If you’re thinking of buying or selling a home, you could take advantage of market conditions and do so. Real estate is highlighted this month, along with investments, loans, credit cards and debt.
A surprise source of money, even a new job or title, could land in your lap around February 9th. On that day, a Leo lunar eclipse glows in your financial sector. Eclipses bring developments out of the blue. In August 2008, two eclipses fell in Leo, so think back to what was brewing back then. Chances are, any action could be linked to something you started this summer.
There will be a second Leo lunar eclipse this year on August 5th. This month’s is a full moon eclipse, indicating that a situation could come to fruition. For example, if you bought an investment property last year, you could find a buyer. Don’t rush to fill a void if something ends! The August eclipse is a new moon, which is like a blank canvas. at that time, conditions could be perfect for designing the next chapter.
If you’re considering a luxury purchase, wait a couple days. Eclipses can make our thinking a bit scattered, and you may regret the purchase. However, February 23rd is a golden day for using your resources wisely. On that day, the Moon, lucky Jupiter, dreamy Neptune and ambitious Mars all join up in your eighth house of wealth. Large sums of money could come your way (or leave your wallet). You might even buy a Lotto ticket for fun.
On Valentine's Day, you’re the zodiac’s luckiest sign. The moon is in sexy Scorpio, ruler of your passionate fifth house. A date night with a lavish dinner and a night of dancing may be Cupid’s cliché, but it will work just fine for you this year. Even if you’re single, just go out and celebrate whatever it is you love about your life—and do it in a big, bold way.
The one catch: that evening the Scorpio moon forms a tense square with Mars. You might find that your or a companion is a little extra sensitive and moody. You’ll need to balance between lighthearted partying and sentimental expression. Bring a thoughtful card or make a caring gesture, but steer things in the celebratory direction and away from the drama.

If you can’t pack your bags, expand your horizons in other ways. Try a cooking class, learn a foreign language, or take salsa dancing lessons—anything to bring fun and new perspectives to your world.
