Monthly Horoscope:

Sagittarius (November 23-December 21)

March 2009

Look who’s nesting now! Globetrotting Sagittarians are going through a domestic phase until March 20, as the Pisces Sun visits your fourth house of home and family. You could be moving, decorating or just getting some much-need downtime. Whew! None of that has come easy to you this year, so March will be a welcome relief.

Women, especially mothers and daughters, are ruled by the fourth house. Spend time with your parents, especially if you’ve been out of touch. If your parents aren’t alive, find a way to pay tribute to their ancestry, or to reflect on whatever they taught you. If you’ve got unfinished business with your mom, strive to reach a new level of peace. It’s also a great month to bond with your fellow females, even to work on a project that makes a difference for women’s lives.

Connecting with your own femininity is important now, so take time to nurture yourself. Sagittarius, you spend much of your time on the go, but this is the time to really slow down and be in the moment. Write in a journal, cook dinner for a close friend, make art for art’s sake, and give yourself plenty of time to putter. Our Sagittarius friend Amanda calls it “luxuriating.” Go ahead, dahhhling—indulge!

The only exception is around March 16, when the Sagittarius moon locks horns with several other planets. You could feel pulled between work, home and family, with little time left for yourself. This is a theme that’s been going on since last October, and will continue through April. By now, you’ve gotten the dance down pretty well, but mid-month, you could feel especially challenged. Don’t try to please everyone on that day—it won’t work!

If you’re due for your annual visit to the OB/GYN, March is a good time to make that appointment. Be sure to get a mammogram or breast exam while you’re there. The fourth house rules all things estrogen-related. Make sure you’re getting enough vitamins, and if you’re sexually active, talk to your doc about birth control or pregnancy planning options. March is an especially fertile month for Sag women (we’ll get to that in a minute), so prepare according to your desired outcome.

On March 20, the Sun moves into Aries, your fifth house of romance, creativity and fertility. Ready for new love, or reignited passion? It’s here! It will be quite a different pace from the restful first three weeks of March. As we mentioned, you could also become “pregnant” with a creative idea, or an actual baby.

A new chapter of your love life is definitely in order, especially around the Aries new moon on March 26th. That day, the Sun, Mercury and Venus will also be here, powering up the love mojo full blast. Whether it’s rekindled sparks with your honey, a hot spring fling, or a soul connection with someone new, then end of March holds much promise for you.

An old lover could appear on the scene now, too. On March 6, love-planet Venus goes retrograde (backward) in Aries until April 17. Retrogrades bring back the past, and they can also cause setbacks or delays. A budding romance could hit the rocks, but if it does, there’s a silver lining. Sagittarius, you tend to rush along and cut corners in your haste. Perhaps you’ve skipped a step in the process or need to go back and have an important heart-to-heart. Doing so will set you on much more stable ground. Sagittarius, you’re the sign of the truth teller, so honesty is always the best policy for you.

Mid-month, your career hits a high note. On March 11, the Virgo full moon illuminates your professional sector. You could reap the rewards of the hard work you’ve been putting in since last Fall. It’s a day that could bring great prestige and attention your way.

Pluto, the ruler of deep inner change, will join forces with this moon. Full moons signify a harvest, and sometimes even an ending. Sagittarius, it seems that you’re ready for an overall transformation in your work life. Even if you’re showered in praise and glory, deep down you may feel that there’s another path for you to follow, or an approach to your field that truly resonates with your spirit. What is it?

Don’t be afraid to explore, even it feels a little uncertain or foreboding. Wondering how you’ll pull it off will only discourage you. Don’t focus on the “how” of things—just let yourself imagine, and visualize what would truly fulfill you professionally. You could find yourself serendipitously attracting new connections or opportunities that align with this fate. Life is about to get interesting. Don’t forget, that’s how you really like it best!
