MONTHLY
OVERVIEW:
It’s time to build, Gemini. The Sun is in Cancer, your productive
second house, until July 22nd. Focus on mastering the nuts and bolts of your
job, or outline the next chapter of your work life. Unemployed or dissatisfied
with your job? Good news: On July 11th, a Cancer solar eclipse ushers in a whole
new approach to money and work that’s aligned with your values. This eclipse
helps you add more stability to your life, too. While you’re not always
the best creature of habit, you’ll find that consistency really suits you.
Craft an elegantly pared-down schedule, focusing on three key actions you can
take each day.
After the 22nd, get out and circulate again. The Sun is in Leo, your social
third house, sparking your super-connector powers. Introduce this friend
to that client, or bring together your different circles. New people have
flooded your life since late May, thanks to Jupiter and Uranus in your friendship
sector. Now, mix a few of these newcomers into your longtime crew, especially
when Jupiter and Uranus go retrograde (backward) this month.
Craving more personal time, Gemini? On July 22nd, Saturn rounds out its
journey through Virgo, your home and family sector. Since April, Saturn has
put a cramp in your family or relaxation time, making it hard to really settle
into your nest. Saturn’s departure eases up tension on the homefront.
You could move, sell property, or make peace with a female relative if ties
have been strained.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
Love turns serious later in the month when Saturn reenters Libra on July
22nd. Over the next two years, your outdated romantic habits and expectations
must evolve. Although this shouldn’t be a tough transit (Libra is
a friendly fellow air sign), you could stand to mature in the love arena.
If you still expect some modern-day Fabio to canter up on a white horse,
toss out that fantasy fast. Love requires discipline and dedication—it
doesn’t run on auto-pilot. We all wake up one day in a panic and
think: “the passion is gone.” It’s not. It just stopped
automatically generating itself. Now, it’s your turn to learn how
to create that spark, instead of waiting for someone else to hand you the
match!
You’re up for Saturn’s challenge, but there’s a twist. Jupiter in your emotionally detached eleventh house squares off with transformational Pluto in your intimacy sector. This could evoke a bout of Peter Pan Syndrome, especially around July 25th. Immature friends could tempt you to take a foolish risk in the name of “freedom,” or your own knee-jerk reaction to feeling trapped could spark a senseless blowout. Don’t sabotage everything you’ve built because of cabin fever.
You’re a thrill junkie, but like any recovering addict, you must avoid
the first “drink.” That means holding yourself accountable and
avoiding fuzzy gray area. Eschew those late-night chats, or racy instant
message sessions. Work through your intimacy issues with a therapist, not
by confiding in gossipy friends or (worse) an ex-lover “who knows you
so well.” You know when you’re playing with fire, Gemini. Don’t
do it!
MONEY & CAREER:
New income sources are on their way! The Sun is in Cancer, your money and
work sector, until July 22nd. However, the most potent day is July 11th,
when a total solar eclipse in Cancer could bring job offers or career coups
out of the blue. If you love your current job, don’t worry—the
eclipse could bring a more permanent role with the company. An artistic
project could garner serious attention after the 22nd, when disciplined
Saturn moves into your creative fifth house. If you work in the arts, music,
dance or any creative field, apply yourself over the next couple years—you
could gain real momentum or acclaim in your field.
Connect with old contacts this month, too. Innovative Uranus goes retrograde
(backward) in Aries, your group activity sector, on July 5th. Expansive Jupiter,
which has been in Aries since June 6th, also goes retrograde on the 23rd.
This is an important time to tap old friends and colleagues, or to rejoin
a helpful networking group. On July 25th, a full moon in your inspiring ninth
house could bring an opportunity to travel for business, teach or return
to school. It’s also inspiring day to creatively revamp your big-picture
goals. Keep your money in your pocket at this full moon. You may be tempted
to gamble, but the stars indicate unclear thinking, possibly motivated by
greed or negative emotions.
HEALTH: MIND, BODY & SOUL:
For much of July, Saturn, Mars and Venus are all in Virgo, your family and
self-care sector. It’s time to mend fences—literally and figuratively.
Family feuds and grudges have met their expiration date. It’s time
to be the bigger person, Gemini, especially with your mother or a female
relative. If your home needs repair, tackle it now. Check the foundation,
water systems and pipes in particular, especially if you’re due for
an inspection.
Are you thinking of starting a family? On July 22nd, Saturn moves into Libra,
your fertile fifth house. It may take time (even treatments) before you can
conceive over the next two years, but don’t give up. Address any unresolved
emotional issues first, or simply take better care of yourself. These shifts
in the way you treat yourself will give you a great capacity to nurture and
give life to others. Next
