Eclipse season is officially ON, and we kicked off this magical mystery tour with a fabulous party at Calypso St. Barth on March 17, 2015. As globe-trotting Sagittarians (with a “bohemian” spirit print…more on that in a sec), we’ve always loved the elegant and worldly wares at Calypso. So we were thrilled when the company approached us for a partnership, inviting us to host a shopping party at their NYC Meatpacking District store.
Our party launched the fun quiz we wrote for Calypso, called “What’s Your Spirit Print?” By taking the quiz, you can find out whether your soul-driven style is Bohemian, Timeless, Romantic or Adventurous. And even better, you can find gorgeous styles to match that vibe.
Writing horoscopes for a living—glamorous as it may sound—can be a solitary job. On top of that, we never really get a day off, since we write monthly, weekly and daily columns (whew!), often while on the couch in yoga pants with a dachshund at our side. No complaints, but when we get to dress up (in sparkly, goddess-like outfits no less) and meet our readers, we jump at the opportunity.
So we were delighted (and honored!) to have guests who drove more than two hours from New Jersey and Connecticut to meet us, and a few who were in town from the West Coast. The Calypso team treated our people like ethereal royalty, serving them adorable zodiac cupcakes, adorned with the Astrostyle symbols that appear on our website, and refilling their glasses of ONEHOPE Wine, an amazing and socially conscious company that donates half the profits on every bottle to a great cause. Just our speed!
While shopping (and enjoying a generous 20% off), everyone got to take a gorgeously printed “What’s Your Spirit Print?” quiz. Midway through the event, we gave a talk on the current eclipse season (running from March 20-April 4), revealing what changes were in the stars for every single zodiac sign this spring.
