Watch: The AstroTwins Interview on ABC about Astrology

Tali’s interview with ABC reporters about astrology charts turns skeptics into believers.

Watch an interview with Tali, one half of The AstroTwins, that aired recently on ABC Seattle affiliate, KOMO News, featuring The AstroTwins’ 2020 Horoscope Guide on the Seattle Refined program.

“My twin sister and I did not expect to be astrologers,” Tali shares in the interview about the career that she and Ophi landed on 20 years ago. The AstroTwins are the astrologers for ELLE magazine.

“This was actually an accidental career,” she continues, explaining how a birth chart they received as a birthday present from a friend fascinated them and inspired them to deep-dive into an astrology education. It was the perfect compliment to their already established foray into women’s media and publishing (Tali was a guest editor for the magazine, Sassy!)

Tali, a Sagittarius, lives in Seattle where this conversation took place with two ABC reporters who had their birth charts read during the interview, a Taurus and a Capricorn.

A birth chart is a mapping of the sky when you were born. It is unique to you and based on your birth date as well as your time of birth and your birth location. Tali’s sister Ophi is also a Sagittarius, but because they were born minutes apart, their birth charts are slightly different.

Tali and Ophi analogize a birth chart to a car’s factory settings; The AstroTwins encourage you to use your chart as a guide to your life. It is a helpful tool to understand why you are the way you are, why you make the choices you make, and how to navigate the world with this knowledge. In other words, you have free-will and your chart does not assign you to any fate.

Your birth chart can be uncanny in its accuracy, though, as ABC reporter learned in the interview.

“I came in here not completely sold on this, but I am completely sold now,” says reporter Malia Karlinsky. “She said things about me that she could not have known, the way I feel about certain things.”

Tali adds: “The message is to empower people and to make them feel like they have a choice, to not just read a horoscope to tell them what to do, but to inspire them to co-create with the stars.”

Tali appears at the East West Bookshop in Seattle on January 24 for an event, Plan it by the Planets for 2020. See other AstroTwins events here.
