“Every year, the planets make a different configuration and create new opportunity, so it’s not ‘Groundhog Day’,” Ophi says on the cosmic closure webinar. “When you know what’s happening in the sky, you don’t have to repeat the same lessons or hardships again; you don’t have to have a hard year.”
Ophi says to think of astrology like having a GPS.
Everyone gets a clean slate for 2025, and a chance to make new goals, especially in what The AstroTwins call: The Year of the Divine Pendulum.

Declare “Cosmic Closure” on 2024
Before we can look ahead to our 2025 goals, here are the lessons we learned in 2024:
Just do you: The flamboyant Wood Dragon, ruled by trailblazing Mars, invited us to transcend our fears and lead by example. Self-sovereignty was celebrated. Autonomy was relished. 2024 was a year of unprecedented growth for those who dared to puff up their magic; one example: breakout pop star Chappell Roan.
Fight the power? 2024 was not a conflict-free year, thanks to the destiny-fueling North Node in warrior Aries. It was also an 8 Universal Year, stirring up themes of power and control. Battles were waged (in our personal lives, on campuses and on social media). As Pluto took its final lap through patriarchal Capricorn, autocrats remained in command across the globe. The radical energy of Pluto in Aquarius also revealed itself. One example of fight the power from 2024: Luigi Mangione, “fighting for ideals” energy was a theme that permeated the year.
Technology takes over: The aliens are here! Or are they? Pluto’s move into sci-fi Aquarius is now in full effect for nearly 20 years (until January 2044), giving us little choice but to embrace it. ChatGPT has been used for everything. Drones were flying over New Jersey and tech “bazilionaires” like Elon Musk had a major influence on the U.S. Presidential Election. Bitcoin has soared to its highest value. TikTok’s future may be uncertain.
Accessing deeper realms. With serious Saturn and subconscious Neptune teamed up in Pisces all year, life got trippy! Celebrities like Julia Roberts and Mike Tyson shared the ways plant medicine healed lifelong trauma and supported anxiety and depression. Manifesting and meditation remained huge. Biohacking with semaglutides balanced sugar began revealing possibilities for dementia.
Complex Social dynamics. With the karmic South Node in Libra, the sign of partnerships, relationships took a stormy turn for many tin 2024. There was no floating on a cloud of denial, and shakeups led to the demise of Bennifer 2.0 (Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck) and the breakup of Megan Fox and MGK. Diddy’s takedowns have dragged Beyoncé and Jay-Z into unwanted spotlight. But free-spirited Jupiter in Gemini made us all a little fickle, too. Flirty collabs like Billie Eilish and Charli XCX cropped up and we were kept guessing about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
One Thing You Can Release at the End of 2024
“This is just one thing to release,” Tali says about the cosmic closure exercise. “It doesn’t wipe away that you had amazing things happen to you!”
Here are what the signs can declare cosmic closure on.
FIRE Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Release: Perfectionism
You risked big and “went for it” but may have had a few crashes or burns. Applaud yourself for trying. As Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani says: “be brave, not perfect.” Keep leaning into that. Release the “should” have mindset.
EARTH Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Release: Bitterness
We’re not calling you bitter, but we’re saying the planets that had earth signs demanded more fomality. You opened upand expermiemtned with new levels of vulnerability and let your softer side show. Not everyone was a winner you opened yourself up to. But you let them in and connected. You may habe given more than you got. Release the bitterness that came with transactional relationships. Release the feeling of victimhead and try to recalibrate to continue being soft, vulneratble and open without overgiving.
AIR Signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Release: Barriers
The thing for you to release is barriers. It was dualistic for you, growing relationships but becoming less dependent on approvals of others. While you may keep people at arm’s length, it may not have worked in 2024. You may have rushed in or out of a relationships. Evaluate (look back) and did you learn from that? That’s the invitation here.
WATER Signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Release: Playing small
The water signs will tend to hide but in 2024 you were not able to, whether you wanted to be or not, you were out there loud and proud. To thrive, you had to step into new levels of accountability. You couldn’t claim dependence on others. It may have been uncomfortable. There were messy and ego-shredding moments but a worthy challenge. You may have made mistakes.

What will you declare cosmic closure on?
Release: What can you let go of? It could be a disempowering or limiting belief, a way you’re beating yourself up, a struggle-filled or self-defeating situation. What did you want to accomplish that you didn’t in 2024?
Recommit: What can you recommit to that’s important and empowering to you? What didn’t you accomplish that you still want to try for in 2025? (Remember, leave to the “shoulds” out of it!)
Reclaim: What cherished value or part of yourself got lost in the struggle? How could you bring it back? Think of a small action, a “microdose” that’s manageable and measurable.

Tali says 2025 may feel like we’re suspended between the old and the new. “Results may not be as instant in 2025 than they were in 2024.”
One reason for that: It’s the end of a 9-year Numerology cycle (2025 is a 9 Universal Year). 2025 will be a bit of a “warm up” for 2026 and beyond. We can learn in 2025 to sit with our discomfort and our feelings, and how to process them—that’s where our strength will be.
