The Spring equinox was a unifying moment that we could all use, says Tali Edut, one half of The AstroTwins, during an interview with KATU 2 ABC in Portland. But a major event April 12, called Spirit Day, can help us build on the energy of the equinox.

Spirit Day describes the meetup of Jupiter, the “barrier-breaker planet” and Neptune, the “boundary dissolver planet” in Pisces, the other-wordly, supernatural zodiac sign. This astrological event hasn’t happened since 1856!

We’re all feeling this energy now, Tali tells “AM Northwest” host Helen Raptis. “On a material level, there’s enhanced creativity. You may be inspired to do art or something out of your comfort zone.”

Tali says Spirit Day increases our connection with the divine. You may feel the presence of guardian angles or even departed relatives. “It’s a time to surrender and let go and allow change to come in. It’s a time of miracles.”

Using the Spring equinox as a primer for Spirit Day

The Spring Equinox in astrology is the moment the zodiac clock starts over again, with Aries season. So it’s a bonus astrological new year, Tali explains.

Equinox in Latin means equal night. It’s a moment when the sun is exactly on the equator and the entire world is getting the same amount of light. (This occurred on March 20.)

“It’s a moment of rebalancing,” Tali says. “We have to look at everything: We look at the day and we look at the night. We look at our own shadows as well as the good we want to do in the world. It’s a balancing point we have to work out until the Summer Solstice on June 21-22.”

Tali suggests looking at the whole picture of your life. If you’re stuck in some way, the Spring equinox helps you get a fresh start. She suggests looking to areas of your life where you may feel stuck, maybe mistakes you don’t want to keep repeating.

“Be willing to look at them in a deeper way to make a deeper change.”
