When Is Prince Harry’s Birthday?
Prince Harry’s birthday is September 15.
Prince Harry’s Sun Sign Is Service-Oriented Virgo
•The Sun represents the essence of your personality, your main character energy•
Prince Harry’s astrological sign is Virgo. The Duke of Sussex was born on September 15, 1984, in London, England.
Virgo is an earth sign known for its humility and acts of service. Usually striving for the perfect outcome, Virgo can find itself at the mercy of some rather high standards—the torturous gap between expectations versus outcome. It’s a constant balancing act between feeling guilty for not doing enough and accepting what one can control.
Prince Harry’s Virgo Sun is located in his eighth house of intimacy and psychology, also typically associated with death and inheritance. Of course, Harry’s identity was forever colored by the tragic death of his mother, Diana, the Princess of Wales. He’s then spent most of his life navigating his grief (eighth house) under public scrutiny (Virgo).
It’s also interesting to consider the eighth house as a house of fears, patterns and repeating cycles. The idea that Harry was fearful of his spouse (eighth house) Meghan Markle, suffering the same fate (eighth house) as his mother and would try to take control (Virgo) to avoid history repeating itself (eighth house)—echoes his sentiments when formally giving up his royal duties to protect his family’s privacy and mental health (eighth house) in 2020.

Prince Harry’s Moon Is In Grounded Taurus
•Your moon sign governs the “inner you” and influences your emotions•
As a Taurus moon, Prince Harry is a simple man with simple pleasures at heart (despite his incredible fame). Incredibly loyal and relentlessly stubborn, Taurus moons are pragmatic souls with comfort and peace constantly on the mind. They’re equally comfortable indulging in decadence while roughing it out in nature.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito mansion grounds would feature a chicken coop and rose gardens. It’s incredibly important for Taurus moons to live in an environment that offers plenty of nature as a self-soothing mechanism. At the end of a hard day at work, Taurus moons are eager to come home and smell the proverbial roses, indulge in some comfortable sweats and a wonderful meal, and unwind with loved ones, especially for Harry with his Taurus moon in his fourth house of home and family.
Prince Harry’s Rising Sign Is Ambitious Capricorn
•Your rising sign, or ascendant, is the first impression you make. Like a filter, it “tints” your Sun sign•
Prince Harry is a Capricorn Rising. Capricorn risings are the ultimate providers of the zodiac, typically associated with family values, traditions and discipline. Capricorn is an earth sign, adding to the already very earthy bias of his primal triad with his Virgo Sun and Taurus moon. With such heavy earth emphasis, the idea of proving self to self comes to mind; with a brother who’s groomed to be King, we can certainly see why!
Capricorns are also concerned with time and ambition: What is my purpose? What can I leave behind as my legacy? Harry had previously described his 10 years of service in the army as some of the happiest times in his life, and has continued to remain closely involved with the armed forces through the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style sporting event for wounded veterans launched by the Prince in 2014.
Prince Harry’s Chart Ruler Leaves Nothing to ‘Spare’
•Your chart ruler is the planet that rules over your rising sign•
As a Capricorn Rising, Prince Harry’s natal chart is ruled by his Saturn in Scorpio. A chart ruler acts like your personal avatar in the royal script of your life. With Saturn at the helm of Harry’s chart, his identity is flavored by the cool and potentially detached nature of the ringed planet (Saturn), masking some deep emotional wells and trauma (Scorpio). In Scorpio, themes like mortality, intensity, transformation, and fear come to mind.
The Duke’s Saturn in Scorpio is located in his ninth house of belief systems and upbringing (also the house of publishing and personal truth). In Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare, he details his emotional perspective about his life while simultaneously offering scathing insight into the Firm that typically only existed behind closed doors (Scorpio). It was an honest (Scorpio) moment for Harry to own his emotional authority (Saturn); no longer playing the victim (Scorpio) of past circumstances, instead shining a light on his prolonged grief for the world (ninth house) to see.
Prince Harry’s Nodes Reveal Purpose and Mission
•Astrologers use the nodes of the moon (found opposite each other in your birth chart) to determine where your destiny lies (North node) and what you were in past lifetimes (South node).
Prince Harry has his South Node (past-life karma) in Scorpio and his North Node (destiny) in Taurus. His Scorpio South Node is in his tenth house, typically associated with Capricorn energy, emphasizing the Capricorn focus in his chart with his aforementioned Capricorn rising self.
The tenth house conjures up themes such as purpose and mission; it also denotes public reputation and social standing. With a South Node in Scorpio, it’s no surprise that Harry was born into one of the seemingly powerful (Scorpio) ruling families in the world.
However, with the North Node in Taurus, Harry is learning to move away from his public obligations, instead coming back to himself and simplicity. He’s not looking to complicate his relationships with the emotional drama that naturally comes with royal legacy and court behavior.
His North Node is located in the fourth house of home and family (typically associated with Cancer energy). It makes sense that Harry ultimately stepped away from the controlling thumb of the Firm to protect his family’s safety, arguably leading a more “simple” life, meeting his needs for peace than the responsibilities imposed onto the Royal family.
Love Astrology of Prince Harry: Partner Pursuits
•Venus and Mars are the love planets in astrology. In your birth chart, Venus represents seduction and romance while Mars represents lust, motivation and erotic instincts.
Mars and Venus form a synergistic elemental aspect known as a sextile in Prince Harry’s chart. The Duke has his Venus in airy Libra with his Mars in fiery Sagittarius.
With his Venus in Libra, Harry is attracted to pretty, fashionable and put-together partners with an affinity for social justice and charity work. Libra, much like Virgo, strives for perfection, in pursuit of their dream, or ideal, partners that make it challenging to settle down with the average Joan. Venus in Libra types value intellectual exchanges and love to creatively collaborate with their significant others.
Mars in Sagittarius, meanwhile, is on the eternal quest for adventure, looking to expand its horizons with every encounter or relationship; travel is a non-negotiable partner activity that can foster intimacy. Harry would find himself attracted to those from a different culture with his S(w)aggy Mars. It’s no surprise that Harry ultimately fell in love with Meghan Markle, an older, mixed-race American divorcée not from his usual high society circles.
Synastry with Meghan Markle: “Parents” of the zodiac
While there is no hard and fast rule when it comes to synastry, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle happen to share some cute relational aspects giving us a flavor for their fairy-tale romance.
As a Virgo Sun (identity), Harry is naturally attractive to Meghan, who has her Venus in Virgo (relationship checklist). Meanwhile, Meghan’s Libra moon (emotions) speaks the same language as Harry’s Venus in Libra (love language). Both are connected and inspired by their commitment to the arts, philanthropy, and their relationship, an important shared value (Venus). They also could feel like each other’s ideal partner given Virgo and Libra’s innate desire for perfection—it’s giving prince and princess charming energy.
Harry as a Capricorn rising is well-suited to Meghan’s Cancer rising self, painting the archetypal image of the “parents” of the zodiac coming together. Cancer and Capricorn offer opposites-attract energy; Cancer might look to nurture and care for, while Capricorn shows care in the form of providing and protecting. Both, however, are motivated by family security as an important shared goal.
