Below are steps to discover your 2025 Tarot card using two methodologies popular in Tarot, one that uses only major arcana (cards 0-22) and the other which uses all the minor arcana cards, the remaining 56 of the Tarot deck.

Choose which method appeals to you, there is no right or wrong answer in Tarot. Intuition is a key tenet of Tarot, so choose which method feels right for you, or try both!

Method 1 to discover your personal Tarot card of the year

This method highlights Tarot cards 1-9, which you find in the following three steps:

1: Combine the numbers of your birthdate down to a single digit.

For example, if your birthdate is May 10, 2003, you would add:

5 (month) + 1 + 0 (day) +2 + 0 + 0 + 3 (year) = 11

Then, add the digits of your result to arrive at a single digit: 1 + 1 = 2

2: Add the year to your single digit.

For 2025, add:
2 (your single digit from your birthdate) + 2 + 0 + 2 + 5 (year) = 11

If the result is a double-digit number, add the digits together until you arrive at a single-digit number.
1 + 1 = 2

3. Find your 2025 Tarot card!

Every number from 1 to 9 corresponds to a major arcana card in a Tarot deck, listed below. Using the example above, your personal 2025 Tarot card is The High Priestess! What a coincidence!

Note there are more major arcana cards than listed above: Cards 10 through Card 22 (The Fool, also known as Card 0), but they are not single numbers, which are needed to find your personal year Tarot card, and there is no mathematical equation would arrive at 0 for that card to be used!

Method 2 to discover your personal Tarot card of the year

Same as Method 1 above, only you do not reduce to a single digit and you match your number to Tarot cards 1-23.

Follow these steps:

1: Combine the numbers of your birthdate.

For example, if your birthdate is May 10, 2003, you would add:

5 (month) + 1 + 0 (day) +2 + 0 + 0 + 3 (year) = 11

2: Add the year to your digit.

For 2025, add:

11 (your birthdate digit) + 2 + 0 + 2 + 5 (year) = 20

If your number is 23 or over, then add your single digits together to arrive at a single digit. For example, 2 + 3 = 5.

3. Find your 2025 Tarot card!

Every number from 1 to 22 corresponds to a major arcana card in a Tarot deck, listed below. Using the examples above, for 20 the personal Tarot card is Judgement and for 5 it is The Heirophant.
