It’s an action-packed month of astrology, though you’ll be eased into it. All about your June 2026 horoscope: guidance for life, love and career, from The AstroTwins.
June 2026 Astrology: Big Changes Ahead
The first half of June is relatively slow in the stars, compared to an action-packed second part (Chiron and Jupiter change signs! Mercury turns retrograde!). Not that there will be many dull moments in your June 2026 horoscope!
The Sun is in Gemini until June 21, and for the first time in most of our adult lives, trailblazer Uranus is also in this sign during Gemini season. Their combined effect could have us all abuzz with novel ideas, multitasking like maniacs and feeling pulled into a million different conversations. Pacing yourself is the new order of the day, especially since Uranus is in Gemini until 2033!
Meanwhile, we’re in our final month of Jupiter’s yearlong tour of Cancer, which began on June 9, 2025. The planet of growth and new horizons is “exalted” in the sign of the Crab, meaning it’s in its favorite place. This has always baffled us a bit, since Jupiter is about travel and exploring while insular and domestic Cancer keeps close to home. But the red-spotted planet has drawn us out of our shells, for better or worse.
On June 30, Jupiter completes this tour and moves into Leo, not to return to Cancer for another 12 years. Take special advantage of this energy on June 8 and 9, when Jupiter and romantic, harmonious Venus unite in a conjunction (meetup) in Cancer. These two planets are known as the “benefics” for their positive, helpful effect, and when they team up, people can be awash in goodwill and optimism. Here’s hoping!
The second half of June 2026’s astrology
Midmonth sets off all the cosmic action. It starts with the June 14 Gemini new moon, which is also a potent supermoon. One of your novel ideas could gain traction or you could have a brilliant brainstorm that builds into something more throughout the year.
On June 19, for the first time since 1983, “wounded healer” Chiron dips into Taurus, briefly leaving warmongering Aries, where it’s been since 2018. This short preview of a longer cycle (beginning in April 2027) turns our collective attention toward healing material insecurity and redefining worth.
Chiron visits Taurus until September 17, the sign that rules our values, the economy, food and the ways we nourish and sustain ourselves on a day-to-day basis. Any deep-seated pain around security and resources could bubble up, giving a flash of the collective work we may have to do for the next several years. The shadow side of Taurus can be material greed and resource-hoarding. Will we learn from the past and make the right choices?
We’ll have a moment to contemplate on June 21, when Cancer season begins with the summer solstice. Fun fact: solstice derives from the Latin term “sol sistere,” meaning “Sun stands still.” For three days, as the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky (for those of us in the northern hemisphere), it appears to stop in its tracks for three days. So, too, can we take a power pause to reflect and correct if we don’t like the course that we’re on.
More opportunities to contemplate that topic arrive on June 29, when the Capricorn full moon gives our 2026 intentions a midyear checkpoint. This is the culmination of the January 18 Capricorn NEW moon, another offering from the skies to recalibrate our direction.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s more! Mercury, the planet of communication, technology and travel, will turn retrograde in Cancer from June 29 to July 23—essentially for the rest of Cancer season until the first day of Leo season. Our personal lives, homes and families, which are Cancer’s realm, could be getting some serious summer repair. This could be an especially nostalgic time, as retrogrades turn our attention to the past.
The headline news arrives on the very last day of June
Lucky, enthusiastic Jupiter enters Leo and it’s curtains up! Starting June 30, the world shifts from Cancer’s protective shell to regal Leo’s gilded throne. For the first time since August 2014, Jupiter blazes through the Lion’s den, flipping on our creativity and self-expression. After a year of nesting and hunkering into groups, Leo’s heart-led courage and performative energy sweeps in and steals the spotlight.
Hollywood falls under theatrical Leo’s domain, and we’ve had our share of reality TV stars infiltrating politics. Will they return to the screen instead of making bids for public office? Here’s hoping. For the rest of us, Jupiter in Leo could bring a renaissance of art, culture, theater, music and dance. Theme parks and fashion and costumes—all the world’s a stage with Jupiter in Leo—could make a comeback too. Since the pandemic, luxury and style have, well, gone out of style. Jupiter in Leo could see a boom in these areas, though hopefully not at sky-high prices and without the elitism or exclusivity.
Leo rules gold, and here’s some fascinating astro-trivia: Every prior Jupiter-in-Leo era has been gilded—literally. In 1717, when Jupiter was in Leo, Britain adopted the Gold Standard when Sir Isaac Newton—who was in charge of the Royal Mint—accidentally caused silver coins to go out of circulation. Then, when Jupiter was in Leo in September 1931, Britain historically abandoned the gold standard in a period of economic collapse.
On July 1, 1944, days after Jupiter completed a lap through Leo, the historic Bretton Woods Conference established that the U.S. dollar could be converted to gold at a fixed rate, which lasted until 1971. The 1967 “gold pool” collapse (a month after Jupiter left Leo) paved the way for free-market pricing; 1979’s Jupiter-in-Leo session brought a gold boom.
In 2025, gold reached its highest price since 1979, surpassing $4,000 an ounce for the first time ever. With the U.S. dollar on shaky ground, those who hold gold (and silver) in their portfolios could make a fortune in the second half of 2026. But with gambler Jupiter’s track record, the golden bubble could also burst. It remains to be seen.
