Just don’t take it too far on Friday, January 9, when Venus opposes supersizer Jupiter in Cancer. Emotions (and spending impulses) could run high, especially if comparison creep sets in. Do what feels right for you, not what keeps up appearances. Looking and feeling your best is empowering—but acting from lack never pays off.

Try not to engage in combustible topics, unless you set strict ground rules to ensure a clean give and take. On a less sultry level, this Mars-Jupiter opposition could propel you into the public eye and turn you into something of an influencer. With Jupiter in your tech sector, you might post a viral video or vocally join a humanitarian or political action group. If you plan on making waves, however, make sure you’re ready to greet any backsplash. Not everyone shares your opinion, but if you plan on taking it into the zeitgeist, inform yourself thoroughly on the subject matter first.
