This four-week cycle will spin up plenty of illusions, so don’t expect to get the clearest glimpse of your amour du jour. But hey, Aries, it never hurts to see people in their best light! As long as you keep one of those glass slippers on solid ground, you won’t get taken for a ride in a carriage that’s actually a basic pumpkin. Be especially vigilant on January 14, when Venus squares optimistic Jupiter and makes you a sucker for a smooth-talking player.

Pisces is the sign of escape. If you're in a relationship, do your best to slip away somewhere beachy or snowy while Venus lingers in this poetic water sign, until February 2. Even a staycation at a boutique hotel with spa amenities could turn into a memorable night of connection.

Ready to introduce your person to your best friends and family? On January 25, Venus forms a flowing trine to Mars in Cancer, which could set the stage for a lovely little meet and greet. Since Mars is retrograde, however, start with the loving, accepting members of your pack. This ain’t the day to trot anyone out for the approval of a tough crowd! Venus and Mars will trine this way again on April 6—with Venus retrograde in Pisces and Mars direct, so this might be part one of events.

When Venus syncs up to serious Saturn at the same degree of Pisces on the 30th, plans could solidify in a meaningful way.
