As celebration (Jupiter) and tradition (Saturn) come together, it’s fitting that Monday is also Juneteenth. A federal holiday since 2021, this day’s been feted by many Black Americans since 1865. Juneteenth honors the delayed announcement of emancipation of enslaved African Americans that arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas on June 19, 1865. (Note that this news came two and a half years AFTER Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.)
